A historical estate situated in the heart of Chianti halfway between Siena and Florence, surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive groves. The farm produces organic Chianti Classico wine and oil and the traditional Tuscan ‘pecorino’ cheese made from sheeps’ milk which is available to taste and buy.
The property has 4 typical Tuscan style houses, built in stone, a short
distance from each other. Once lived in
by the farm workers they have been completely renovated preserving the original
architectural characteristics, such as
the beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. They have been divided into
individual apartments of varying
sizes. Each apartment has been elegantly
furnished and has its own kitchen and outside area with tables, gazebo or large
umbrella. The apartments can be rented separately or all together to accommodate
from 12 to 44/46 guests.
The two houses that face the estate are ideally suited for a medium sized wedding party as they accommodate 24/26 guests. They share the outdoor areas, gazebo and swimming pool which has stunning views. There is also another spacious building available, originally a barn, equipped with a kitchen and bathroom where the wedding reception can be organised for up to 30 guests in bad weather without having to rent a marquee. To have exclusive use of the pool and the barn both houses have to be rented together. Any other guests can be accommodated in the two houses in the main part of the farm houses about 1 km away. Normally the houses are available from Saturday to Saturday ( or minimum stay 5 days) as self catering, without breakfast. There are many excellent restaurants nearby and if required a private cook can be hired to cater for guests.
