Tuscany In Wedding helps you planning your wedding and select the most charming venues and locations of Tuscany where celebrate your marriage

Florence

As everyone knows, Florence is one of the most beautiful cities of the world, a true gem, fashioned by Renaissance artists and still so well preserved today that it is also a ‘World Heritage Site’. For more information click on a taste of Tuscany/Art/History/Landscape/introduction (or Florence)

Unfortunately it isn’t always easy to relaxingly enjoy Florence due to the masses of tourists that visit each year. To discover the real and romantic Florence, one has to get away from the overcrowded tourist streets and step into the smaller side streets of San Frediano, Santo Spirito or Santa Croce where the artisans still restore antique furniture, and the local neighbourhood women gossip as they hang their washing out to dry from their windows just as the women of centuries past.

Florence

If your wish is to get married in the beautiful Palazzo Vecchio, which is the city hall (visit legal ceremony location/Florence), then we advise you to do so between mid September and mid October when there are fewer tourists and the weather is not so hot.

In any case we advise you also NOT to choose Florence city for your accommodation or for the wedding reception but to choose instead one of the many romantic venues with swimming pools, in the beautiful and quiet Chianti countryside, just a few kilometers from Florence, that you can visit by clicking accommodation/reception venues/Chianti countryside. Exclusive private luxury villas; romantic hotels; elegant and luxurious relais, resorts and historical country houses, finely renovated.

It is here that one grasps the true beauty of Florence: in its intimate relationship with the countryside that surrounds it. You can enjoy the marvelous colours and perfumes of the fields in flower and suddenly the original meaning of its name, Florentia in Latin, will become clear to you: blooming, full of flowers!

You can spend most of the day in town, visiting museums and doing some shopping, and then return to the quiet of the countryside, away from the chaos of one of the most touristic cities in the world. Albeit a city that captures the hearts of whoever visits it, and uses its incredible appeal to unexpectedly seduce and take your breath away while you are enchanted and captivated by its magic!.

All considered, if you are really ‘allergic’ to the countryside, following is a selection of hotels and Bed & Breakfast accommodation in town with whom we collaborate.
